Nigerian music producer Rexxie, known for his work with Afrobeats giants Burna Boy and Angelique Kidjo, has ignited controversy with a now-deleted tweet directed at Davido fans.
In the tweet, Rexxie seemingly bragged about his Grammy nominations for production credits on Burna Boy’s “Twice As Tall” album and the song “Do Yourself” with Burna Boy and Angelique Kidjo. He then made pointed remarks about achieving this success without “sympathy or dance with kids on uniform,” possibly referencing a strategy some perceive Davido as using.
The post did not go unnoticed by Davido, who promptly unfollowed Rexxie on social media. This adds another layer to the situation, considering Rexxie’s prior statement about Davido reaching out to him during a recent detainment in Uganda.
