Big Brother Naija star, Hermes Iyele, has responded to the claims made by his fellow housemate, Phyna, regarding their co-star Chichi’s alleged abandonment of her husband and children. During the reunion show that aired last night, Phyna angrily accused Chichi of leaving her family in Benin City to pursue a career in Lagos.
The revelation caused a stir on the internet, with many questioning the validity of Phyna’s statement. However, Hermes has now come forward in a video posted online to refute Phyna’s claims and provide some clarification.
According to Hermes, he had a personal conversation with Chichi before the drama unfolded, and she revealed that the man and children featured in the viral picture that fueled the rumor were actually her uncle and his children. Hermes emphasized that he was certain of this information and apologized for the misunderstanding surrounding the situation.
In the video, Hermes explained that he questioned Chichi about why she didn’t ask her uncle to clarify the situation by issuing a statement. Chichi explained that it would create further difficulties for both her and her family members, as they were already facing challenging circumstances.
Hermes expressed his disbelief at the entire situation and admitted to laughing at the sheer impossibility of the claims made against Chichi. He assured viewers that none of the accusations held any truth, stating that he had firsthand knowledge of the facts.
