Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has congratulated former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his 77th birthday, hailing him as “a statesman and a patriot”.
Saraki said this in a statement on Saturday, which was shared on his verified Facebook page.
“Our former Vice-President, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has always demonstrated that he is a statesman and a patriot — a leader who believes in Nigeria and Nigerians.
“Over the years, he has shown just how far he is willing to go to defend and protect our democracy. As he celebrates his 77th birthday today, my family and I join all Nigerians to wish His Excellency, a very happy birthday.
“We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) will continue to bless you with good health, strength and wisdom.
“Happy birthday, Sir!” Saraki said.
