UK-based Nigerian Gay Activist, Bisi Alimi has once more decried the discrimination against homosexuals in Africa.

Bisi who hails from Oyo state stated that Africans were not of the opinion that Homosexuality was a criminal offence until the Colonial masters introduced Christianity.

The gay activist claimed it is insensible to be homophobic and still demand for decolonization of Africa.

“History 101; not one single African was a Christian before encounter with the colonisers. Homosexuality was not a criminal offence in Africa before the colonisers came. You can’t demand decolinising Africa and be homophobic at same time. Choose a side.”
