How Army Captured BH Kingpin Attempting To Flee Into Lagos From Abuja

Apparently, the sustained offensive on the Boko Haram terrorist sect by Nigeria military forces has continued to yield fruits as there has been a marked decrease in the frequency and magnitude of bombings and other terrorist activities in the North East in recent times.

In the same vein, the Nigeria Army has announced it arrested a suspected Boko Haram kingpin who attempted to flee from Abuja to Lagos to avoid capture.

He was reportedly attempting to board an Aero Contractor flight at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Sunday, when he was apprehended by eagle-eyed Aviation Security.

In a statement by Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, the suspect identified as Chindo Bello was on the list of the 100 wanted Boko Haram terrorists released recently.

Usman said: :”Today at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, a man suspected to be one of the declared wanted suspected Boko Haram terrorists, Chindo Bello was apprehended by Aviation Security as he was boarding Aero Contractors’ Airline flight to Lagos.

“We would like to thank those eagle eyed and patriotic security agents and good citizens for the tip off that led to the arrest of the suspect.

“The Nigerian Army would like to reiterate the need for all well meaning Nigerians and those residing in our great country to be more vigilant and assist security agencies with information about the declared wanted terrorists, their sponsors and other criminals in our midst.”
