During his interview with Complex, Damson Idris discussed his relationship with Jay Z, including how the rapper helped him secure a green card.
The actor revealed that the hip-hop legend assisted him in getting his green card by serving as a reference in his application, Damson also divulged the fact that Jay Z never volunteered, he stated that he (Damson) had to ask the rapper for assistance.
“Oh, Hov didn’t offer that up. I had to ask him. But he’s done many things for me over the years. He’s always supported me“, he said.
Damson also affirmed that Jay Z is one of his huge idols, revealing that he had never told him this fact. “If you ever run into Jay-Z, just say thank you and keep it moving because he is definitely a pioneer of the culture, but of everything. And I’ve never told him this, but he’s a huge idol of mine. Thank you for that reference”
