Hugo Lloris Arrested And Charged For Drunk Driving (Photo)

France and Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, has been arrested and charged for drink driving after failing a breathalyser test in the early hours of Friday morning.

 

The goalkeeper was pulled over by the police at around 2:30am on Friday morning, then failed a breathalyser test before being taken to Charing Cross police station.

 

Lloris, 31, spent around seven hours in custody before being charged and released on bail.

 

The Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been charged following a routine patrol stop in Gloucester Place, W1.

 

“Hugo Lloris, 31, of East Finchley, was charged with drink driving on Friday, 24 August.

 

“He has been bailed to return to Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 11 September.”

 

Lloris has issued a statement, saying:

 

“Drink driving is completely unacceptable. I take full responsibility for my actions and it is not the example I wish to set.”

 

Lloris was pulled over in Gloucester Place in central London this morning.

The France international was released on bail and he’ll return to Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 11 for further hearing.

 

Lloris is a father of two, married to his childhood girlfriend Marine.

 

The goalkeeper has made over 200 Tottenham appearances, as well as reaching the 100 mark for France.
