Buhari visits Nigerian troops in Maiduguri

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to finally visit the Nigerian troops fighting against Boko haram insurgents today, 1st October, in Maiduguri.

This would mark the first time the president would visit the soldiers in the state.

He earlier urged Nigerians to pray for the troops who have spent their time and energy ensuring the safety, security and unity of the country, Nigeria.

Buhari, who posted the message on his Facebook wall, said:

“I’m spending today visiting our troops in Maiduguri.

“The entire nation thanks our gallant Armed Forces for their heroic work rolling back the frontiers of Boko Haram’s terrorism.

“We will never forget their sacrifices. I ask that you remember them in your prayers.”

  • Im sure the soldiers don’t have rest, hope he has asked them if they use to change them from time to time. If not I’m sorry anything can happen.
