Ini Edo, the renowned Nollywood star, recently made a bold statement on her Instagram page, declaring herself as the best actress and best-dressed female celebrity at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) ceremony. Despite not winning any awards at the prestigious event held at the Eko Hotel and Suites over the weekend, Ini Edo confidently expressed her belief in her acting prowess and fashion sense.
In the highly contested Best Actress in a Drama category, Ini Edo faced tough competition from notable actresses such as Bimbo Ademoye, Enado Odigie, Osas Ighodaro, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Ini Dima-Okojie, Immaculate Oko Kasum, Nimo Loveline, Queen Nwokoye, and Scarlet Gomez. Ultimately, it was Osas Ighodaro who emerged as the winner for her outstanding performance in the film ‘Man of God,’ securing her second consecutive win in this category.
However, following the award ceremony, Ini Edo took to the internet, seemingly disappointed by Osas Ighodaro’s victory, to express her firm belief that she is the best actress among the nominees. Additionally, Ini Edo confidently proclaimed herself as the best-dressed female celebrity, a title that reality TV star Beauty Tukura had won on the same night.
Undoubtedly, Ini Edo’s fashion choices at the AMVCA were nothing short of stunning. She captivated the audience with her beautiful outfits, and she proudly showcased them on her Instagram page. Accompanied by the photos, Ini Edo wrote, “Best Actress/Best dressed. Argue with your keypads.“
