COVID-19 vaccination: Lagos residents laud state govt on 2 weeks extension

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office says an autopsy would be conducted Monday to establish the cause of death of a resident that died after taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

This sheriff’s office disclosed this in a Facebook post on Saturday but did not identify the victim nor the particular COVID-19 vaccine used.

Placer County is located in the Greater Sacramento metropolitan area in California, United States.

According to the post, the county was recently notified of the person’s death.

It further stated that the person tested positive for COVID-19 in December but received the vaccine on January 21.

Two hours after taking the vaccine, the person died.

The sheriff’s office warned against speculation on the cause of death, describing such as “premature”.

It further stated that multiple agencies were investigating to determine what led to the person’s death.

“There are multiple local, state, and federal agencies actively investigating this case; any reports surrounding the cause of death are premature, pending the outcome of the investigation. Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased,” the Facebook post further read.
