Jeremih Discharged From Hospital Following Weeks-Long COVID-19 Battle

American singer, Jeremih has been discharged from the hospital after weeks of battling the novel coronavirus.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful,” he said.

“I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude,” he said in a statement, obtained by TMZ and ABC Chicago.

“I’m getting stronger everyday, and look forward to spending time with my sons. I would also like to thank all my fans, and people all over the world who have prayed for me.”

It was earlier announced that he had contracted the Coronavirus and was in serious condition.

A few of his rapper friends, including ChanceTheRapper had come out to ask for prayers for the quick recovery of their friend and colleague.

It was however revealed that Jeremih’s condition had greatly improved and as such he is set to be released from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to continue his recovery at home.

This was announced by Jeremih’s close friend, ChanceTheRapper who took to his twitter page to update his fans on the encouraging development.

He tweeted, “I am filled with praise right now, I just heard my brother Jeremih’s voice on the phone for the first time in almost a month.
