Popular Yoruba actor, Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe has died.
The veteran thespian died aged 63.
His son, Adesola Omidina, made the announcement on Monday.
“This is to announce the sudden death of my father, Babatunde Omidina, the legend and rare gem, Baba Suwe on November 11, 2021. Details and other arrangements will be announced shortly,” Adesola wrote in a terse statement.
President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, Bolaji Amusan also known as Mr. Latin also confirmed the development.
“It has been confirmed that Baba Suwe is dead. I just got off the phone with his son who confirmed that the actor is dead. I don’t have much details about his death,” he said.
