JUST IN: ‘Terrorists’ attack Abuja-Kaduna train

Suspected terrorists on Monday night attacked an Abuja-Kaduna train, few kilometers to Kaduna metropolis.

The Herald learnt that the train conveying over 900 passengers was bombed between Rijana and Katari in Kaduna State.

An authoritative source who confirmed the incident on condition of anonymity, said the train departed Abuja 6pm, and was expected to arrive Kaduna 8pm.

The source further revealed that train was attacked at about 7.45pm, but did not give details of the attack.

However, this newspaper learnt that soldiers and the Department of State Services (DSS) have secured the train.
