Star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed satisfaction at bagging 50 goals in a Juventus shirt days before his 35th birthday.

He will be 35 on Wednesday, February 5.

The former Real Madrid star bagged two goals from the penalty spot as the Old Lady beat Fiorentina 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

After he converted the spot-kicks in the 40th and 80th minutes, young defender Matthijs De Ligt scored in the 90th minute to seal the win for Maurizio Sarri’s side.

Ronaldo reached 50 goals in 70 games on Sunday and became the second-ever Juventus player to score in nine straight games. Frenchman David Trezeguet first achieved the feat from October to December 2005.

The Portuguese’s nine-game scorer streak was achieved beginning from December 1 against Sassuolo, Lazio, Udinese, Sampdoria and Cagliari. Others include Roma, Parma, Napoli and now Fiorentina.

Taking to his social media pages after the game, the five-time Ballon D’Or winner wrote: “Good to get back to victories and happy to score again in our stadium.

“Proud to reach 50 goals with the bianconeri shirt!”
