Kano Govt Prioritises Youth Empowerment

The Kano state deputy Governor Professor Hafiz Abubakar noted that while Kano has the highest population in Nigeria; it equally has the largest number of youth in the country hence priority of the government in youth empowerment.

He said the programme would be continued until all the youth became better equipped and guided to tackle the challenges facing the state as future leaders.

The Deputy Governor charged the youth embrace the change wind being experienced in the country brought about by the change leadership and economic depression in order to revamp the state economy.

He said Governor Abdullah Umar Ganduje administration has been working towards laying solid economic foundation that will make the Kano viable for future prosperity.

Prof Hafiz Abubakar then called on the people of the state to support the government by contributing meaningfully through payment of taxes and positive attitudinal change for growth and development of the state.

He charged the youth to put what they learnt into practice and Train others.

Correspondent Abubakar Haruna Galadanchi reports that, the special adviser to the governor on special duties sheikh Ibrahim Khalil who organized the workshop said a total 500 youth traders operating in 47 centres across the state participated.

Adding that various papers were presented by scholars drawn academia and business organisations.

Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil disclosed over 3500 traders are expected to benefit from the subsequent workshops.
