Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, serving as the Actors Guild of Nigeria’s representative, has responded sternly to Stella Maris, the wife of veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, over her scathing criticism of the guild. This comes in the midst of Mr. Ibu’s ongoing battle with a serious illness.

In a recent video posted by social media critic VeryDarkMan, Stella Maris criticized the Actors Guild, asserting that the guild had failed to provide any assistance, and her attempts to contact them had been in vain.

Kate Henshaw promptly countered these allegations, asserting that the Actors Guild had never abandoned any of its members, particularly in health-related matters. She stated that the Guild has supported Mr. Ibu since 2021.

While acknowledging the possible desperation that Stella Maris may be experiencing, Kate Henshaw emphasized the need to focus on Mr. Ibu’s health and recovery. She further pointed out that the allegations of neglect by the Guild were untrue.

In her words, she stated “Good morning my attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media as of last night made by Mr Ibu’s wife.

Let me state here categorically that this would be the last statement I would make on this issue.

The crock of the matter is that someone is ill, asking for help and the focus is on him to get better.

As of 2022/2021, when issues arose concerning his health, I wasn’t the public relations officer for the Actors Guild. My ejection into this post was this year.

Let me state categorically and vehemently that AGN has been of help to Mr Ibu.

I do understand that she is at her wit’s end, anybody would be, but to say AGN lied isn’t true”.
