Kidnappers Release One of Four Abducted Seminarians

Kidnappers have released one of the four seminarians who were abducted from their hostels on January 8, 2020.

Good Shepherd Major Seminary was attacked on the night of Jan 8 and four students were kidnapped around 10:30pm.

However, the kidnappers dumped one of the abducted students along Kaduna-Abuja highway on Saturday evening.

According to The Sun, Good Samaritans who saw the helpless boy laying by the roadside, returned him to the school.

This was made known during the early Sunday morning mass. One of the Catholic priests was quoted saying

“We are happy to hear that one of the Seminarians has been released. He was dumped along Kaduna-Abuja highways, and occasionally, he was falling into coma. We pray that God will touch the hearts of the Kidnappers and release the remaining three. Keep on praying the Rosary for them”.

The Herald recalls that Bishop Matthew Man’oso Ndagoso, Archbishop of Kaduna Catholic Diocese said the church will not disclose details of the ransom demanded by the kidnappers in order not to put the lives of the seminarians at risk .
