Kidnapping: “Father give us a responsible government”, Pastor Adeboye prays

In what appeared a dig at successive governments, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has prayed to God to give Nigeria a responsible government that can create jobs and end kidnapping, ritual killing and cultism in the country.

The revered cleric made this known while praying for the release of kidnapped schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu, Chibok schoolgirls, and other people that remain in Boko Haram captivity.

According to Vanguard, Adeboye, who is popularly called Daddy G.O, led millions of RCCG members to pray against the menace of kidnapping on the 34th day of church’s ongoing 49-day fasting and prayer programme.

He also declared holy anger on kidnappers, ritualists and cultists, and prayed for a responsible government that will change the nation’s fortunes for the better throught creation of employment for the nation’s teeming youth.

Adeboye said, “Let us come against the activities of kidnappers, ritualists and cultists in Jesus’ name. Father expose them and all their collaborators in all their hide-outs in our nation.

“Lord set confusion in the camps of ritualists, kid-nappers and cultists as it was in the days of King Jehoshaphat, set enmity among kidnappers, cult-ists and ritualists for their extinct in our nation. (II Chronicles 20:22-23)”

He added, “Lord we decree and declare deliverance, by fire, for every one of us captured by kidnappers, ritualists and cultists in Jesus’ name. (Matthew 18:18)

“We decree and declare that our nation shall be totally free from kidnapping, rituals and cultism in Jesus’ name. Father help the Police to be more emp-owered in policing our territories, such that crim-inal acts will fade away in the land.

“Father give us a responsible government, let there be employment for our youth.”
