La Liga to take some of Nigeria’s U-15 players to Europe

La Liga, Spanish league has promised to sponsor some of Nigeria’s U-15 players to Europe for professional football.

Javier Delpio, Managing Director of La Liga Nigeria made the promise on Friday in Abuja at the closing ceremony of a five-day training clinic for coaches.

Delpio reassured of La Liga’s commitment towards a more professional Nigerian football hence the partnership with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and League Management Company (LMC).

“We will see many professional footballers being churned out by you coaches,” he said.

Also speaking, Amaju Pinnick, NFF president thanked La Liga and the coaches that participated in the training for a successful outing.

Pinnick who was represented by Shehu Dikko, chairman of League Management Company (LMC) said that Nigeria was one of the two countries in the world that had benefitted from the La Liga coaching training.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the five day coaching clinic is an initiative of the LMC in collaboration with La Liga to improve the skill of Nigeria’s coaches. (NAN)
