Lagos State Discharges 33 Recovered Coronavirus Patients

The Lagos State Government has discharged 33 Coronavirus patients after testing negative twice for the virus.

According to the Lagos State Ministry of Health, the 33 Coronavirus patients discharged include nine females and 24 males.

Seventeen of the patients were discharged from the Onikan Isolation Centre, while the remaining 16 recovered patients were discharged from the Eti-Osa Isolation Centre.

The State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is also the Incident Commander, revealed this in a statement while giving an update of the coronavirus patients in the state.

Sanwo-Olu said: “Today, Monday, May 11, 2020, 33 more COVID-19 Lagos patients; 24 males and 9 females, all Nigerians were discharged from our isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 17 from Onikan and 16 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) Isolation Centres have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID19.

“This latest discharge brings the total number of cases successfully managed to full recovery at our isolation facilities in Lagos to 502.

“We are encouraged by this trend of recoveries and we believe it will continue.”
