The chaos and mayhem that is Lagos traffic is as persistent as the impatience of the majority of the motorists in the commercial city of Nigeria.
TGIF now means Traffic Gridlock is Frightening and fear of Lagos Traffic is the beginning of wisdom for any body who lives and works on the Island or any other part of Lagos for that matter, but especially the island.
The concentration of white collar opportunities on the Island draws many from near and far, however the concentration of millions of people and tens of thousands of cars in one place or heading to one place at the same time is impractical. The failure of the Lagos State government to effectively combat this problem over the past number of years is an indictment on the kind of leadership we have in Lagos and in Nigeria as a whole.
