Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold Onuwaje has recently opened up about her single status, explaining that she is intentionally taking her time and cherishing her personal space. In a video shared online, the 36-year-old mother of two expressed her love for the concept of marriage but revealed her preference for not living together with a spouse.
Lizzy shared that she highly values her personal space and wouldn’t feel comfortable waking up to her partner’s presence every day. She clarified that her decision is not due to a dislike of marriage but rather a desire to maintain her independence and autonomy. For Lizzy, the idea of a long-distance relationship holds more appeal as it involves missing each other, which she finds enjoyable.
Additionally, Lizzy revealed that she has been celibate for the past four years. She addressed the curiosity surrounding her relationship status, stating, “I’ve never been married before. I’m single, and I’m a single mom.” She emphasized that her current focus is on her personal growth and professional endeavors.
Lizzy explained that she believes distance in a relationship can bring about more excitement and fun. She expressed her preference for not sharing the same physical space with a partner every day, as it could potentially limit her sense of freedom. In her view, maintaining some distance can help partners appreciate each other more and foster a stronger connection.
