The police on Tuesday docked a 32-year-old man, Expert Jazhi in a Karu Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, over alleged threat to kill his neighbour, Mrs Nkem Anikwe.
The defendant, who resides at Phase 2, Jikwoyi, Abuja, is facing one-count charge of criminal intimidation.
The prosecutor, Edwin Ochayi, told the court that Anikwe the complainant, of same address with the defendant, reported the matter at Karu Police Station, Abuja, on April 25.
He said that the defendant had on April 9, threatened to kill Anikwe, an offence contrary to Section 397 of the Penal Code.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the offence and the judge, Hassan Ishaq, granted him bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
Ishaq also ordered both parties to write an undertaking to maintain peace and serenity in the environment and adjourned the case until June 18 for hearing. (NAN)
