In a recent interview with Chude, BBN public figure turned show host, Maria Chike, expressed deep remorse for her past actions in mistaking and calling out man of God, Apostle Joshua Selman. Earlier this year, she erroneously accused him of being the apostle she was accused of sleeping with, leading to a controversial online backlash.
Maria made the confession after realizing her mistakes and prayed for forgiveness from God. Her action of responding under a parody account’s comment section, which was mocking a proclamation tweet made by the parody, sparked a social media uproar.
The reality TV star turned host admitted in the interview that she didn’t know there were two different people at the time and was mortified when she discovered the truth. She went ahead to express her deep regrets for dragging a man of God who had nothing to do with the accusations.
“I didn’t know there were two different people, I was mortified. The guy is very respectable, and I had to dig into who he was, and that’s why I prayed”, she said.
