The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has shut the ministry following an order from the Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Calistus Onaga.

Mbaka made the announcement in a statement published on the ministry’s official Facebook page.

The order followed Mbaka’s controversial comment about the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.

He had described the former Anambra governor as “stingy“, adding that he would fail in his presidential ambition.

The cleric later apologised for the diatribe, which had drawn condemnation from many Nigerians, especially on social media.

“Dear Adorers, there will be no programme starting from tomorrow being 19th June 2022 at Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Amen, Umuchigbo Emene, Enugu State.

“Sunday Mass, Wednesday (E No Dey) And Night Programs will not hold till further notice.

“God bless Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Amen and God Bless Our Spiritual Director, Rev Fr, Ejike Mbaka. Keep praying for Our Daddy and may God bless you,” the statement read.

Recall that the Enugu Catholic bishop banned the Catholic faithful from attending any programme at the Adoration Ministry.
