Meghan Markle is surprisingly delighted that multiple Grammy-winning singer, Beyoncé knows who she is.
Meghan, who is the Duchess of Sussex, spoke in the newly-released, six-part Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan.
Beyoncé had texted the duchess after Meghan and Prince Harry’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey was aired.
In the concluding part of the documentary, the duchess announced to her husband’s hearing: “Beyoncé just texted.”
Harry, however, teased his wife for not showing excitement that Beyoncé texted her.
A laughing Meghan said, “I still can’t believe she really knows who I am.”
She proceeded to read the singer’s text which says, “I want you feel safe and protected.”
Meghan explained that “she (Beyoncé) admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”
Commenting on the text, an apparently pleased Prince Harry said, “That’s well said.”
