Big Brother Naija reality star, Mercy Eke, has shed light on her decision to maintain privacy around her dating life and current relationship. In a recent episode of Celebrity Quickies featured on comedian AY’s YouTube page, Eke explained that her past experiences have influenced her choice to keep details of her love life away from the public eye.
Addressing the topic, she shared, “I consider my dating life private. I think I have made a couple of mistakes with my dating life, putting out everything on social media. But lately, I can say this part of my life is still very private.”
The reality star hinted that she has found love once again but is intentionally keeping the identity of her mysterious partner concealed. Eke expressed that she can’t go a day without talking to her undisclosed lover, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a level of secrecy.
During the Celebrity Quickies interview, Mercy Eke acknowledged the pressures faced by Nigerian celebrities, attributing most of it to external influences. Despite the challenges, she stressed that celebrities in Nigeria are breaking new grounds and achieving remarkable milestones in their careers.
It’s worth noting that a few months ago, Mercy Eke and her fellow Big Brother Naija contestant, Pere Egbi, clarified that they were not dating, dispelling speculations that arose due to their onscreen chemistry during the Big Brother Naija All Stars reality show. Prior to this, Mercy had been in a relationship with another BBNaija colleague, Ike, which ended shortly after the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition in 2019.
