Hollywood star and singer Miley Cyrus has called off her engagement to Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth.

The pair had initially gotten engaged in 2016 and have endured something of an on again-off again relationship, but now it seems they are done.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple could not agree as to when they want to have kids.

While Liam is said to want kids as soon as possible, Miley Cyrus isn’t interested in having them anytime soon.

‘He wants kids and doesn’t want to keep putting it off but it’s not quite the timeline Miley had in mind… he is left heartbroken,’ a source for the Daily Mail said.

‘Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it… They haven’t been getting along in recent months.’

‘[She] didn’t really want to get married. It’s something that everyone else seemed to get but Liam. [His] family had been begging him to see the light for a long time, but he had faith in Miley. Now he feels like an idiot.’

While Liam Hemsworth has always seemed the more enthusiastic of the couple, Miley Cyrus has already stated that marriage is not really a priority for her stating in an interview last year: ‘I don’t envision marriage. I’m 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married],’

Prior to their 2016 engagement, the pair were engaged back in 2012 but that was also called off after a year.

Back then, Hemsworth had also stated that it had taken a toll on him, telling GQ magazine; ‘Of course it was hard, man,’

‘But at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time – we both needed that.’
