NGO Assists Less Privileged with Healthcare Services

An NGO, Uchenna Kenneth Foundation says plans have been concluded to assist the less privileged in the society with access to healthcare services.

Mr Uchenna Kenneth, a businessman, who is the manager of the foundation made this known at a news conference in Abuja on Thursday.

He said that the foundation was passionate at improving the lives of the less privileged through a series of education, healthcare, entrepreneur and youth empowerment interventions.

“Our organisation is an astute manager and a human rights consultant and protection of humanitarian interests spanning across the country but not limited to education, healthcare and youth empowerment.

“We are poised to empowering the youths through capacity development and scholarship, and sensitise the ill-informed populace on human rights and its protection,” he said.

Mr Collins Onyeaji, Assistant Manager of the foundation said that the organisation had carried out in the past many humanitarian projects in some villages in the country.

He said that the foundation would be embarking on many projects as part of its mandate to better the lives of the less privileged.

“Recently, our foundation hosted an anti-rape campaign call RARA – Run Against Rape and Abuse; during the campaign, we matched from the Unity Fountain, Abuja to the Federal Secretariat.

“The foundation’s gesture is to lend a voice to the global anti-rape campaign,” he said.
