Pinnick stated that;

“The cessation will be for four weeks after which the situation will be revised in line with trends and events worldwide”.

He therefore advised all members of the Nigerian football family to observe safety precautions as advised by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

Pinnick stated further that the only football related activity that will take place during the period is the NFF investigation into the death of Chineme Martins, the Nasarawa United player who died in action last week.
