A Nigerian footballer playing for Eyimba, Daniel Esseien Etor dazzled fans and spectators during a match as he made time to propose to his girlfriend.
The 23-year-old Eyimba forward went on one knee at the centre of the pitch of the Area 3 Sports Complex in Abuja to propose to hi long time girlfriend, Simi Silas.
The couple who made their relationship official after four years of dating were surrounded by Etor’s teammates including Chinedu Udoji, Emmanuel Anyanwu, Razak Aliyu, Moses Ocheje, Kelly Kester.
Simi in turn said yes as she added: “I love him. I am so happy, I don’t even know what to say.
“We became friends four years ago and I knew this day will come but I did not know it will be here. It was shocking!”
Etor in a happy mood said: “She has been my support from day one, my backbone.
“She understands me and prays for me.I proposed on the day I remembered the first year of my father’s death. It was something I needed to do.”
