The Nigeria Professional Football League All-Stars side lost 2-1 against Valencia even after battling hard and showing good resolve in their first game of the NPFL La Liga tour.

Valencia scored in the 10th minute through Alvaro Medran, Joseph Osadiaye equalized in the 32nd minute but despite the NPFL’s all-star tactical prowess, they were left stunned by a Rodrigo Moreno winner with six minutes left on the clock.

Valencia dominated the opening exchanges and were rewarded for their efforts when Medran headed a cross past Ikechukwu Ezenwa for the opener.

The Nigerian selected side struggled to get going in the game as the hosts failed to relinquish their dominance even after the goal.

The Nigerian team got back on level terms through Joseph Osadiaye in the 32nd minute.

They grew into the game following the goal  afterwards and kept Valencia on the backfoot for long spells.
Unfortunately, just as they were hoping they could perhaps grab a draw, Valencia grabbed the winner in the 84th minute through Moreno.
The forward pounced on a long ball and rounded up Ezenwa before slotting the ball in the net.
The NPFL All- Stars will face Malaga in their next game on Friday and later will play Atletico Madrid
