Some Nigerians have taken to social media to fault the lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Desmond Elliott, for commissioning a public toilet for his constituents’ use.
This was after photos circulated of Elliot cutting the tape of the facility which was reportedly donated by the Australian government as part of efforts to combat open defecation.

However, many social media users felt it was belittling for the actor-cum-lawmaker to be commissioning a toilet.
