Nigerians have taken to social media to voice out their concerns to the statement by Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that any foreigner that interferes with the 2019 general elections would be taken home in a body bag.
El-Rufai issued the threat while appearing on NTA’s Tuesday Live programme anchored by veteran journalist Cyril Stober.
The governor was reacting to the statement by the Federal Government cautioning foreign nations and institutions against interfering in Nigeria’s internal affairs.
“Those that are calling for anyone to come and intervene in Nigeria, we are waiting for the person that would come and intervene, they would go back in body bags,” he said.
