Following planned strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), an X user simply identified as £ngr ‘Demola
(@ExquisiteDemola) has called on the leaderships of the labour bodies to rather focus the strike on Imo State than ground Nigeria’s economy.

The Herald recalls that days after Joe Ajaero, the president of NLC, was picked up from the Imo council secretariat of the congress in Owerri by heavily armed police officers, the unions ordered their members to embark on a nationwide strike from November 14.

Commenting on the planned strike, @ExquisiteDemola said, “Who will be at the receiving end of the Labour’s action? Common Man and ordinary Nigerians. Ajero and his fellow politicians had issues in Imo state while he was on a political voyage as a chieftain of the Labour Party. NLC should localise their strike action to Imo state and stop inflicting unnecessary torment on ordinary Nigerians by grounding the country’s economy”.
