The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has in a statement signed by Mrs Bose Aderibigbe, the Director Media and Publicity of the Corps urged Corps members to remain calm over the delay in payment of their January allowance.
The statement which was made available to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja revealed that the delay in payment is due to discrepancies in planning figures for 2016 from the NYSC, Ministry of Budget and National Planning, and the Ministry of Finance.
The statement expressed the management of the scheme’s regrets in the delay of the allowance payment.
Mrs. Bose Aderibigbe in the statement promised that the management of the scheme is working actively to ensure the payment of all Corps members within a week.
