Obama Reveals Vladmir Putin’s Role In E-mail Hacks

The United States president, Barack Obama has revealed the Russian President’s role in the email hacking scandal which offices ahead of the United States election.

Obama voiced out weeks after the United States presidential poll in which the Republican candidate, Donald Trump emerged as the winner.

Obama in reaction to the email hacks said he had warned Putin to ‘cut it out’ in a conversation between both parties. He further kites that “Not much happens in Russia without Vladimir Putin.”

Ahead of the election, Obama revealed that he had warned the Russian President at a summit in September of the dangers and consequences of meddling with the United States’ Democratic process.

Obama however promised a strict and proportional response to the allegation levelled against the Russian president regarding his role in the hacking of the Democratic Party and of emails belonging to defeated presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.

Obama further threatened, “Whatever they do to us, we can potentially do to them.”

At the last news conference of the year, Obama who failed to mention his successor by name warned against forming allies with the Russian side as he noted that some Republicans were failing to acknowledge the seriousness of Russia’s involvement in the US election.

In the same vein, Obama expressed dissatisfaction at the approval of GOP supporters of Putin’s “Ronald Reagan would roll over in his grave,” declaration.
