GOC, 7 Division, Nigerian Army, , Brig.-Gen. Abdulwahab Eyitayo welcomes the repentant terrorists

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri says any Southerner still rooting for the Muhammadu Buhari administration deserves to be rejected by their Southern community.

He stated this in a Facebook post on Tuesday while reacting to photos showing the Nigerian Army welcoming repentant top Boko Haram commanders, their families, and lieutenants.

The Herald had reported that the Army shared a statement and photos of the event in which General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 OPHK, Brig.-Gen. Abdulwahab Adelokun Eyitayo welcomed the Chief Bomb Expert of Boko Haram known as Musa Adamu a.k.a Mala Musa Abuja and his second in command, Usman Adamu a.k.a Abu Darda, along with their families and followers that willingly surrendered.

In some of the photos, Army personnel could be seen handing clothes and food items to the repentant terrorists.

The photos have been a subject of controversy, with many claiming it further proved that the Muhammadu Buhari administration pampers terrorists and bandits.

Weighing in, Omokri wrote: “Every Southerner that still supports the prosecution of Nnamdi Kanu and the persecution of Sunday Igboho, after watching this government parade hardened Boko Haram killers and asking us to forgive them, is a Southerner that should be rejected by their community.

“If this is General Buhari’s idea of one Nigeria, then why is he surprised that Igboho and Kanu do not want to be a part of it?

“Two days ago, a 19 year old boy was sentenced to death for attempted armed robbery. So, we will now kill this boy that stole because he was hungry, and forgive these adult serial killers because they say a convenient sorry?

“Let Buhari prove he has forgiven these so called repentant Boko Haram by giving his daughter to one of them to marry.”
