The NIS had earlier stated that the seized passport of Odele was part of a routine border assignment.
NIS Spokesman, Sunday James said that the immigration service is duty-bound to enforce any restriction placed on an individual, adding that Odele’s passport seizure was not as a result of her active participation in the #End SARS protests against police brutality in Nigeria but because the service was enforcing a restriction.
