The immediate past President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has re-echoed the views of Governor Seriake Dickson that the PDP controls the grassroots apparatus in the state.
According to Jonathan, ‘politics is grassroots business and PDP controls the grassroots’ in the state.
He made the disclosure at a PDP-organised interactive session with members of the electorate in the state, while reassuring members of the National Working Committee of the party of victory in the December 5 polls.
It will be recalled that theheraldnews.com had reported on Saturday Dickson’s statement comparing the party to a war horse with formidable structure which will penetrate every part of the state to ensure the party’s victory in the election.
Others in attendance at the event were: Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus; former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih; the Obibomikimiki of Opume Kingdom, His Royal Highness A. J. Turner; and Chief T.K. Okorotie.
