The Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba State has sacked its spokesman, Mr. Napoleon Adamu, on the grounds of conspiring with the opposition to put the party in a fix.

Mr. Adamu had reportedly gone ahead to accept Saturday’s verdict of the Taraba State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sacking Gov. Darius Ishaku and replacing him with All Progressives Congress’ Alhaja Aisha Jummai Alhassan.

The PDP described the acceptance of the verdict as a conspiracy against the interest of the party.

The Working Committee resolved that Mr. Adamu’s comments without recourse to the leadership of the party caused it great embarrassment and subsequently expelled him from the party.

Media reports say Adamu told newsmen in the state capital that the people should accept the verdict of the tribunal and cooperate with the winner.
