A joint team of Consumer Protection Council (CPC) and Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) led by Director General of CPC, Babatunde Irukera, has embarked on enforcement exercise against imported poisonous rice across the country.
According to information released by the CPC, the exercise is presently ongoing in markets, shops warehouses in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The exercise is said to have uncovered widespread sale of imported poisonous rice.
