PHOTOS: Tears and Tributes At XXXtentacion’s Memorial, Set to Release New Video

Jahseh Onfroy otherwise known as XXXtentacion has a memorial service yesterday which was attended by many who came to mourn the 20-year-old rapper.

Thousands of fans gathered at an arena in Sunrise, Fla.

XXXtentacion was “dressed in a blue denim jacket under soft lighting, laid in a dark polished coffin at center stage, surrounded by a spray of black flowers with metallic accents,” according to the New York Times.

Fans and celebrities were in attendance including; PnB Rock, Ugly God, Denzel Curry, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Yachty

The memorial and open-casket viewing also featured video clips from the rapper’s numerous interviews and live performances

The memorial took place at the BB&T Center which hold approximately 20,000 people. The crowd were reportedly respectful throughout and there were no reports of violence or skirmishes. The service was held from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. eastern standard time.

XXX tentacion was killed on the 18th of June after he was shot while in his car after visiting RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Caroline Records, who were in charge of XXX gave a short statement which was reported by Variety Magazine

“Everyone at Caroline is shocked to learn of the tragic death of Jahseh Onfroy, professionally known as XXXTentacion,” the statement said. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.”

The Singer’s team have also announced that they will release a video for that song, “Sad!,” on Thursday morning. XXXtentacion was also in the news after he was named the first artiste this century to have a Billboard number 1 track posthumously after his song Sad! made it to the Billboard hot 100 number 1.
