35-year-old trader, Mr. Ibrahim Adamu has been arrested by police in Benin for reportedly shaving the pubic hair of a 25-year-old woman without her consent.
The suspect was alleged to have lured the victim, Ms. Jumai Jasper into his room last week Tuesday at Aduwawa Community in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo state.
Upon interrogation, Adamu, an indigene of Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina state however admitted shaving the victim’s hair, but denied using it for ritual purpose.
The suspect, who did not disclose the whereabouts of the victim’s hair, alleged that it was the residents at his neighbourhood that invited police.
Edo state Commissioner of police, Mr. Samuel Adegbuyi who confirmed the report, assured that the suspect would be arraigned in court for indecent assault when police investigation is completed.
