A video currently making rounds on social media has captured the moment some officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were waylaid by police officers while returning to Abuja.
The officials were traveling from Edo state where they conducted the governorship election on Saturday, 19 September 2020.
Following the announcement of Godwin Obaseki as the winner of the gubernatorial poll on Sunday, 20 September, some INEC officials who were on their way to Abuja got alkegedky attacked by officers of the police force.
The man who recorded the incident and posted on social media said a police officer hit him in the ribs after they discovered he filmed them.
Although the case has been reported to the Police, security agency is yet to confirm or refute the alleged attack.
