Presidency responds to Busola Dakolo’s rape allegation against Biodun Fatoyinbo

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa has described Busola Dakolo as a woman of “courage” after she broke all societal barriers to accuse Senior Pastor of COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo of rape.

Busola Dakolo, who is a popular photographer and wife of ace musician Timi Dakolo, made the allegations in a viral video interview with YNaija‘s boss, Chude Jideonwo.

She said Fatoyinbo raped and deflowered her when she was a 17-year-old in 2000.

In an Instagram message on Thursday, Timi Dakolo said, “Christianity is telling the truth everyone is afraid of telling. Everything else is religion.”

Taking to Twitter, Dabiri-Erewa called on all women to rise up and demand justice.

Dabiri-Erewa, who is the Chairman, Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), expressed support for Mrs. Dakolo.

The presidential aide  added that she sponsored the Violence Against Persons bill which prescribes life imprisonment for rape.

In a message directed at Timi Dakolo, Dabiri-Erewa said, “What can I say about your wife! A woman of strength, courage. We all, as women, must rise up and demand justice. I sponsored the violence against persons bill which prescribes life imprisonment for rape!!Busola, you’ve got my back!”
