Following numerous reports that the President of the Federal Republic, Muhammad Buhari is not in good medical condition, the Presidency seems to have lent some credence to the reports.

A statement issued by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, discloses that the President is indeed suffering from a nagging ear infection and will be embarking on a 10 day vacation, part of which will include a visit to Ear, Nose and Throat specialists in the UK.

The statement posted on Adesina’s Facebook reads:

President Muhammadu Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday June 6th to rest.

During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.
