The Three Lions of England would be making walking into a ‘big trap’ by underrating their round of 16 opponents, the Teranga Lions of Senegal, at the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup.

England and Senegal will battle it out on Sunday for a place in the quarter finals of the Mundial.

Gareth Southgate’s team qualified as Group B winners after beating Iran and Wales and drawing the United States.

Senegal qualified as runner-up in Group A, having got a point less than group winner, the Netherlands.

Despite this, Evra who achieved legendary status playing for France and Manchester United FC in England, warned the Three Lions not to be complacent against the African champions.

“The difference for this game will be if England put more passion and heart than Senegal, then they will win the game.

“If England fails at being focused then Senegal will upset England, definitely. It’s a big trap.

“England will have to be 100% focused, they have to be on top of their game. Then they can beat Senegal.

“The trap is real…” Evra told Betfair.
