Reactions Follow As Wizkid’s Anticipated “Made In Lagos” Album Set To Drop

The wait is finally over as Wizkid’s much anticipated album Made In Lagos is hot in the kitchen and ready to drop.

 

Fans in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large are ecstatic at the good news as the release of the album has been long awaited.

 

Prior to this announcement, On October 14, Nigerian Afro-pop star, Wizkid said that the release of his album, ‘Made In Lagos’ which was initially slated for October 15 would be postponed, although a specific date was not stated at the time.

In a hearty message, the 30-year-old Afro-pop singer explained to his fans reasons for the postponement, owing to the movement tagged #EndSARS – to put an end to the atrocities committed by operatives of the SARS unit of the Nigerian police.

 

 

It seems as though the yearns by Nigerian youth for better governance have continued online while the civil unrest caused by the protests have gradually piped down. Starboy believes this a time to reconnect with his fans as the year comes to a close.

 

On October 28, the Joro singer tweeted: “#MadeinLagos In a min…next tweet…” Then in the early hours of October 29, 2020, he tweeted that, “#MadeinLagos Tonight 11.11pm.

 

Fans who caught wind of the tweet couldn’t hold back their joy as they flooded it with replies.

 

One user who was excited about the announcement said that: “it’s happening guys. It’s happening!!!”

 

 

One other user who felt that one would need ear plugs to enjoy the album said that: “wahala for who no get ear plugs.”
