Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has assured Nigerians to prepare for real change as the government of President Muhammadu Buhari is poised to give them just that.
He made this disclosure at the 20th thanksgiving service of the Redeemers International Leadership Academy (RILA) on Sunday.
The occasion was also used as awards ceremony/grand house reception for him by RILA, which has been the leadership arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God since its inception since 1995.
Osinbajo, who was a Redeemed pastor prior to his election as Vice President, was given an award in recognition of his exemplary contribution to public governance as an alumnus of the academy.
The Vice President, who thanked the organisers for the award said that though Nigeria was still far from what many have come to expect, the new government under Buhari is working to ensure that Nigerians get a better deal.
Expressing his heartfelt appreciation to RILA for the award, Osinbajo said: “RILA has been a great experience for me, it is not just an opportunity to learn the word of God but it is more of an opportunity to enable ourselves to be true leaders in whatever capacity we found ourselves.
“What our country really requires are men and women who come from the faith, who are able to demonstrate their faith in the market place, wherever they may be. I think that’s what RILA has done excellently and so well.”
